An entire episode hinged on us the audience, caring about where Oscar could be. But still the plot wants us to care about him. Yet it never really allows us to get attached to him as one, since he's never given the time to shine. Which is odd, because the show seems to want us to care about him as a character. Oscar is often relegated to being a background character or having massive character shifts happen off screen. However the show itself never really allows him to take on that role. He's literally in the middle of this season as well as last seasons posters. Oscar Pine is show and often portrayed as being a central character to the narrative of RWBY. Although I believe both deserve some discussion. I'm speaking from more of a meta-standpoint than an in-universe standpoint. Hide Spoilers Blur Spoilers Show Spoilers
